Angelyne Butler spent her formative years on Fort Lewis Army Base in the State of Washington. In 2004, she moved to Atlanta to pursue her Bachelors in Political Science from Spelman College. Angelyne knew that in order to navigate the challenging waters of government, additional education was imperative.  As such, in 2009, she received her Master’s in Public Administration from Troy University.   Angelyne grew up the daughter of Command Sergeant Major Butler. Angelyne recalls observing her father make decisions that would affect the military base in which they lived and the countless servicemen/women and their families in which he was responsible for. Via observations of her father, Angelyne learned viable life lessons. Said lessons are ones that she not only held dearly, were passed down to my daughter, but also aided her as she became the 24th Mayor for the City of Forest Park include but is not limited too: ALWAYS maintain your integrity, a person’s commentary of you is often a reflection of themselves, be a visionary, a true servant leader is one who put the needs of the greater good before their own and lastly there are times when you have to be a self-driven advocate especially when you are forced to stand alone.   It is in her capacity as Mayor, that Angelyne began to appreciate, understand and value the world of commercial real estate. While commercial real estate is important to a municipality, the heart of any municipality is in residential real estate. As a newly licensed agent, Angelyne quickly began to appreciate the intrinsic gratification one would have when assisting someone accomplish their goal. Specializing in Agriculture and plant studies while being a part of the FFA program. She was able to experience animal showings and judging teams during that time. She continued her education after high school specializing in land growth, agriculture and Real Estate. My passion for art and design came to me at an early age when my younger brothers and I competed against each other to see who could make the best paper airplanes; we loved creating with Lego’s and playing with Transformers. As I got older the world around me and the built environment became an ever longing investigation of how different people lived through the cultures they belonged to. Graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2005 with a trailblazing independent major called, “Sociology of Design,” gave me the inspiration and determination I needed to feel like I could possibly make a successful change in the world and the power I wanted to do it all right in my very own fingertips. The dynamic fields of which the independent major is comprised of are: interior design, real estate, urban regional planning, landscape architecture, engineering and human development and human studies. When my many advisors and I took precedence to this type of major, the first independent major at the university, we decided the evolution would be a private art school degree back home in architecture from the California College of Arts in San Francisco, CA. The variations of understanding contemporary family patterns and spearheading social cultural developments, I have worn many hats to gain the expertise and knowledge to separate my solution from the rest. I have the type of skillset to creatively solve all your design and real estate development needs. I am a determined and goal oriented person. I have had struggles and overcame many obstacles but persevered. I would say that I have rolled with the punches but I never quit or gave up on my dreams. With a real estate brokers license and an architecture/interiors background of over 10 years, I feel I am truly living my dream. I am a visionary and conceptual talent who loves to have fun with my clients. I am enthusiastic and exude lots of passion! I am always eager and when needed I can think outside the box for a more creative experience. I take responsibility for innovation and being sustainably conscious to design real estate for the future now without harming the environment later.
