In 2013, she earned her MBA at Hampton University. Shortly after graduation, she moved to New York to pursue a career in the fashion industry. However, being from California, New Yorks' inclement weather was not her portion. A year later, she moved home and landed a temp job with Cushman & Wakefield. This moment sparked her initial interest in commercial Real Estate.
At CW, working in the capacity of a property manager allowed her to see first-hand the lucrative opportunities presented to commercial agents and brokers. In 2015, she relocated to Atlanta and worked towards her Real Estate license. Throughout her career, her primary focus has been commercial: tenant representation and multi-family analytics. Paula has worked on several projects, including; franchise leasing, private practice conversion and multi-family acquisition.
Her journey as an entrepreneur has forced her to be brave and take calculated risk. In turn, it has afforded her an unconventional lifestyle that she enjoys. Sometimes it takes a real estate transaction to get to the truth of things. It is an honor to share times of transition with people. I love my job. The best part is that at the end, when the deal has closed. I have helped clients generate wealth that transcends the strictly financial. Sure, the seeds of financial security are planted when a person obtains ownership of a piece of property. But a property well chosen, also brings wealth that cannot be measured. My passion for art and design came to me at an early age when my younger brothers and I competed against each other to see who could make the best paper airplanes; we loved creating with Lego’s and playing with Transformers. As I got older the world around me and the built environment became an ever longing investigation of how different people lived through the cultures they belonged to. Graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2005 with a trailblazing independent major called, “Sociology of Design,” gave me the inspiration and determination I needed to feel like I could possibly make a successful change in the world and the power I wanted to do it all right in my very own fingertips. The dynamic fields of which the independent major is comprised of are: interior design, real estate, urban regional planning, landscape architecture, engineering and human development and human studies. When my many advisors and I took precedence to this type of major, the first independent major at the university, we decided the evolution would be a private art school degree back home in architecture from the California College of Arts in San Francisco, CA. The variations of understanding contemporary family patterns and spearheading social cultural developments, I have worn many hats to gain the expertise and knowledge to separate my solution from the rest. I have the type of skillset to creatively solve all your design and real estate development needs. I am a determined and goal oriented person. I have had struggles and overcame many obstacles but persevered. I would say that I have rolled with the punches but I never quit or gave up on my dreams. With a real estate brokers license and an architecture/interiors background of over 10 years, I feel I am truly living my dream.
